She placed her hand in his and sat next to him, asking, “How much did Forrest drink?"
Isaac didn't answer, just stared at her intensely.
Feeling uneasy under his gaze, Camila turned away and asked, “Why are you looking at me like that?"
“Your first concern is about another man, not me," he remarked.
Camila was at a loss for words.
She faced him and said, "You're really drunk."
Normally, he wouldn't make such a comment.
"Let's get you up."
She grasped Isaac's arm, struggling to support him alone.
Alick came over and suggested, "Should I go to ask someone to send Forrest home first, then come back to help you?"
Realizing Forrest was quite drunk, Camila simply said, “Okay.”
Alick signaled for waiters to assist in escorting Forrest from the room.
Before long, only Camila and Isaac remained.
“Can you walk?" she inquired.
She wondered if Isaac also needed help leaving.
This thought crossed her mind.
"I'm not drunk," he declared.
Grasping Camila's hand, he leaned on her and murmured in her ear, "Mila..."
Camila stood up abruptly.
It wasn't an intentional overreaction.
