Chapter: 1759
It appeared she wasn't useless after all.
Though everyone seemed against Camila, she never struck back.
Camila held no grudge against Hilaria for any past insults.
Camila had every reason to take action against her.
Especially since Camila was on the verge of becoming the director of the research center.
“Alright then, I won't keep you. You go ahead inside."
Camila teased, "No slacking off on the job, okay?"
“I'm always hard at work," Hilaria retorted.
After entering the research center, Camila was summoned to the director's office.
The director was packing up.
The door was open, and Camila entered.
The director, noticing her, gestured and said, "Come over here."
Then Camila walked over.
“My stuff has been taken away, and what has been left are research papers and materials. I'll be around for a few days. If you've got any questions, feel free to reach out."
Camila gave a nod of understanding.
"I'm heading out. Not feeling too great to stick around here." The director sighed and shared. “I've spent half my life in this research center. It's like a second home to me."
“You're welcome to drop by anytime and check out my work. If I mess up, don't hold back; feel free to give me constructive criticism,"
Camila offered.
The director chuckled, "How dare I criticize you? With your strong support, there's no one I'd dare offend less than you."
The director's words were tinged with humor.
