Chapter: 1856
At work, he was usually distant, even cold, to his female colleagues and practically everyone. Even smiles were rare from him.
Now...
His actions were downright astonishing.
Camila felt her cheeks warm, slightly embarrassed.
Especially with someone else Listening in.
She shot him a look but kept silent.
Isaac wrapped her in his arms, suggesting, "Let's head upstairs."
He took a couple of steps, then turned back to the receptionist.
“She's my wife. Next time, just let her through."
The receptionist answered, "Understood."
Watching Camila's departing figure, the receptionist mulled over several thoughts.
This was the woman who had won over Isaac.
And truly, she was stunning.
Once in the elevator, Camila remarked, "The receptionist was right there. Why'd you say that? It doesn't seem appropriate to me."
Isaac raised an eyebrow. “What? I see no issue. Isn't it right for others to know who you are?"
He didn't pause for her response but leaned in close, murmuring, “So how should I introduce you before others? That you're my secret affair?"
Camila aimed an elbow jab at him, which he skillfully avoided.
Camila fixed him with a look, voicing her concern. "Don't you worry about your coworkers catching you in the act?"
He grinned, unfazed. "It doesn't bother me. I've got a reputation for being a gentleman. If anyone catches us, they'll just assume you're the temptress trying to seduce me."
Camila was at a loss for words.
