Chapter: 1865
Camila stepped out of the car.
At first sight, there was a big garden ahead, maybe around 2000 square meters, with a golf practice area set within the garden, requiring a long walk to reach.
“We usually park at the side entrance.”
This made it easier to come and go.
However, they stopped at the main entrance this time to give Camila a full view of the property.
This allowed for a complete view of the entire mansion, or rather, the estate.
As Camila walked and glanced around, she remarked, "This place has a mix of old-fashioned charm and modern vibes."
Isaac explained, "I bought it at an auction and it's been significantly remodeled since. The original estate was 5000 square meters, but over time, parts of the land were sold off, leaving only this."
Isaac was quite pleased with the estate.
In front of them was a multi-tiered fountain.
Each level looked like a lotus leaf, with water flowing down from one to another, creating splashes in the lowest pool.
The mansion's exterior boasted a Renaissance style, with off-white stone cladding that gave off a tranquil and elegant vibe. The steps leading to the entrance were designed to be broad and not too high.
As she stood there, Camila sensed that Isaac had a detail-oriented side.
Such architectural consideration was likely for the safety of children.
This could avoid accidents if someone took a misstep and fell.
"Step inside and take a look," Isaac offered, putting his arm around her.
As the door swung wide, a vast living space with soaring ceilings and double staircases unfolded, akin to a scene plucked from the silver screen.
Within, a retinue of seven or eight servants, all hailing from Clouland, stood at attention on either side, lending an air of vintage charm.
"Mr. Johnston," the butler, clad in a well-worn suit, stepped forward, addressing them in the Clouland tongue, his tall, slender frame betraying subtle hints of age.
Isaac presented, "This is my wife. We're here for a brief stay."
