Chapter: 1867
Sometimes, a smaller abode felt more Like home.
Despite the abundance of amenities, a subtle chill lingered in the air, leaving her feeling somewhat cold and distant amidst the opulence.
Isaac reassured, “It'll work out. As the kids grow, they'll need space as well."
He envisioned relocating Rowena, Glenda, and their retinue of guards and drivers here.
With more inhabitants, the mansion would lose its cold aura.
With the inclusion of the servants, the mansion would undoubtedly gain a more homely atmosphere. Presently, with only the two of them, its vast expanse seemed naturally austere.
"Relax in a bubble bath and get a good rest. I might have a busy day tomorrow," Isaac advised, shedding his suit jacket.
Camila rose to hang it on the coat rack, then helped him undo his shirt. "You go ahead and shower first."
Isaac glanced down at her slender fingers, clasping them gently.
"What are you up to?" Camila raised her head.
Their gazes locked, and Isaac's lips curved into a smile. "You look like a wife right now."
Camila quipped with a smile, “Is that so? Do I resemble a wife when I serve you?"
Isaac enveloped her in his arms, his expression solemn. "Not exactly..."
"I get it. I was just kidding," Camila remarked with a gentle smile.
Isaac playfully pinched her cheek. "You're being mischievous. You dare to tease me now?"
She adopted a playful demeanor. "I can't simply allow you to bully me, can I?"
"Did I ever bully you?" He leaned in, drawing closer with a subtle inclination. His gaze bore deep and fiery, while his voice resonated with a seductive timbre. "I feel Like bullying you right now. Is that okay?"
Camila hardly ever led the way.
But as soon as Isaac stopped talking, Camila hugged him tightly and kissed him.
Her lips felt soft and sweet.
