"Then why do you look so worried?" Hyman asked.
Without taking time to explain, Camila said, "Go ahead with your work."
She then walked into the meeting room.
Rugal immediately asked, “Do you have any ideas?"
"Yes," Camila replied and sat down.
She pulled out a pen and notebook. “Now, tell me everything you know about those people, and also about the woman who set you up."
Rugal shook his head. "I don't know the woman. I just had a coffee; I didn't even touch the wine. I have no idea why I passed out. When I woke up, I was naked in a hotel bed with a woman next to me."
"Then tell me whatever you can recall," Camila urged.
He then carefully recalled what had happened and shared everything he knew.
It was crucial for his future.
Camila had a pretty good grasp of the situation.
“Have you decided when you're going to sign the contract?" she asked.
“They said the sooner, the better. I made an excuse to push it back a few days though. We'll sign the contract at their company in three days," Rugal replied.
Camila nodded. "I see."
"Then..."
"I'll handle it," she assured him. "Don't panic, Dr. Lance. You can head back now and wait for my update."
"Alright." Rugal stood, his gaze lingering on Camila. "If it comes down to it, don't stir up trouble with them. They have something on me. If those photos get out, I'm in trouble.”
"Understood," Camila responded.
After Rugal had left, Camila called Harrell.
Harrell worked in the pharmaceutical industry.
