Chapter: 1920
"Is there any progress?" he asked urgently.

Camila presented the photos. "The negatives have been destroyed."

"Truly?" Rugal was taken aback by how swiftly the issue had been resolved.

Camila nodded in confirmation, indicating that the negatives had indeed been destroyed.

Rugal let out a sigh of relief. “I won't be under anyone's control anymore."

However, just as he finished speaking, his phone rang.

It was Sun Pharmaceutical Group, urging him to sign the contract immediately.

Camila intervened, requesting a one-day postponement.

Dr. Lance complied, echoing Camila's request. "We agreed to meet in three days. Only one day has elapsed. Why the urgency?"

Feeling reassured by the knowledge that the other party had no leverage over him, Rugal's confidence grew slightly.

He felt a shift in his demeanor; he was no longer as submissive as before.

He sensed that the other side likely didn't dare to push him too hard.

With the evidence in their possession destroyed and all the photos lost, the other party's leverage had significantly diminished.

They could only adhere to the agreement.

After ending the call, Rugal couldn't contain his impatience. “Why can't I tell them directly? They have nothing on me. I have no reason to fear them. I'll simply inform them that I won't sign the contract. They should just give up, right?"

"They called you so soon because they wanted you to sign the contract in advance, given the lost photos. You can certainly inform them directly now, but success isn't guaranteed," Camila said calmly.

“Why?" Rugal inquired.

"They resort to such despicable threats, indicating they're not honorable individuals. If you confront them directly and antagonize them, they might retaliate by framing me."

"Then... What should we do? " Rugal furrowed his brow in frustration.

"Do we have to be controlled by these villains all the time?"
