Chapter: 1927
Throughout the day, Camila anxiously waited for updates in the courtyard.
From noon to evening.
Eagle and Rugal didn't return until seven o'clock in the evening.
"Did everything go smoothly?" Camila inquired.
"Fairly well," Rugal replied. "It was a close call."
“What happened?"
"You know what?" Rugal took a seat and began recounting the ordeal.
"Well, when I informed them that I wouldn't be signing with them, their demeanor shifted drastically. Their faces turned pale, and the atmosphere grew tense. I followed your instructions and told them the truth. They then accused me of stealing the photos. I admitted to it, explaining that I was merely protecting my rights and interests against their underhanded tactics. Things escalated quickly, and they even threatened physical violence against me right there in the company. Thankfully, Eagle intervened, preventing any harm. Shortly after, their leader received a phone call, indicating some urgent issue within their company. Some employees seemed to have reported that company to the police. They were preoccupied with that, allowing me to leave unscathed. It was quite terrifying, to be honest."
“Thank goodness you're safe," Camila expressed her relief.
“Did you report their company to the police?" Rugal inquired.
Camila didn't tell him the truth. "No, someone else may have a grudge against Sun Pharmaceutical Group."
Rugal nodded in agreement. “They are indeed despicable. They must have made many enemies."
Feeling relieved, Rugal suggested, "Let's proceed with signing the contract!"
"Alright," Camila agreed.
She called for Hyman to bring the contract.
Rugal wasted no time and signed the contract without hesitation.
After the recent events, he had developed a strong trust in Camila.
"I'll begin my work at this research institute tomorrow."
"You're welcome to join us," Camila replied warmly, shaking his hand.
"I'm eager for our success," Rugal said with excitement.
