Chapter: 1938
"I think we should wait a bit Longer. Annis will move past this over time. I don't believe her pain will last forever. I hope to be the one who stands by her side for the long haul. You can trust me with her. I promise to treat her well for as long as I live."

Nelson paused, holding back his original intent.

“She's not ready yet. Give her some space."

Alick nodded. "I just want to see her happy. I didn't realize how deeply my presence would affect her emotions."

Nelson explained, "She's usually calm around us, but it's different with you. She cares deeply for you, which is why she loses control. I hope you can be patient."

"I understand," Alick replied.

As a thoughtful man, he didn't dwell on the issue.

Nelson changed the subject. "Where are you staying? I have another house, you know...”

“I'm at the Rieth Hotel," Alick cut in. “I've got work to do. I'm here just to visit Annis and need to go back soon. Don't worry about it. The hotel suits me just fine."

Nelson nodded. “If you need anything, don't hesitate to reach out.”

Alick nodded in agreement.

Concerned about Annis being alone, he suggested Nelson should head back home.

Nelson could sense that Alick truly cared for Annis.

He was pleased to realize this.

He came to view Alick as part of the family.

Nelson assured him, "I'll take good care of her. Don't worry. If you need updates on how she's doing, just give me a call."

Upon returning from the coffee shop, Nelson found Annis sitting in the Living room.

He approached her with a smile and asked, “Everything alright?"

Annis had just settled down.

She wasn't as agitated as before.
