Chapter: 1964
Startled, her cheeks turned a deep shade of pink.
Embarrassment washed over her, and she rose from the sofa as if pulled by a string.
Camila grumbled at her mom, “Why are you sneaking around like a ninja?"
Rowena replied, "You're just so zoned out. I'm always this quiet at home."
Camila was left speechless.
She wondered whether Rowena had seen her kissing Isaac.
Getting busted by mom was the worst!
Camila felt mega embarrassed.
Seeing her daughter blush, Rowena grinned, saying, "I didn't catch a thing, sweetie."
Camila couldn't believe it.
She must have seen it all. Otherwise, she wouldn't have said so.
Rowena waved her off, saying, "Forget about it. Keep doing your thing."
Camila couldn't say a word.
She could only comfort herself, saying in her heart that at least, she was doing it at home, not in public. No outsider saw it. However, she still was awkward because she had never been like this before in front of her mother.
Feeling ashamed, Camila shot Isaac a look and blamed him, "This mess is on you."
Isaac was at a loss for words this time.
Why was it his fault?
Hadn't she taken the initiative to kiss him?
This was not his problem. Isaac shrugged.
Camila stormed off upstairs.
