Chapter: 1996
"I am not listening!"
Tyrese waved her off. "Get lost, or I'll have security toss you out!"
Camila read his face and knew she couldn't sway him, so she left with Eagle.
Eagle wondered. “Why's he so stubborn?"
Camila sighed. “Folks get worked up about family. We can't blame him."
Eagle went quiet.
Walking out of the neighborhood, Camila felt a bit lost.
Eagle sensed her hesitation. “What about asking Mr. Johnston for help?" he suggested.
Camila glanced at him.
She just stared and didn't say anything.
Eagle grew anxious. “Did I mess up?"
"Nope," Camila assured.
It seemed like Isaac was her only option now.
She couldn't hide anymore. After all, Tyrese had sued her.
She chuckled bitterly. “They say I have to file within fifteen days. Should I dash back and whip up some papers?"
Eagle stayed quiet.
"Let's roll," Camila said.
Eagle held the door for her.
The engine hummed as they drove off. Camila didn't mention where they were going. Eagle peeked from the mirror and asked, "Are we heading home?"
“No, office bound," Camila replied.
