Chapter: 2019
Rowena's question lingered as Camila pondered.
"You were always so busy with work before, barely talking when you got home. But Lately, you seem to have more time and talk a lot more. What's going on?" she asked.
Camila was at a loss for words.
The more she tried to conceal her feelings, the more they seemed to surface.
“Mom, can't you see the good in me?" Camila grumbled. “I just want to get closer to my dear family, and you shouldn't doubt me."
“Okay, Rowena responded casually, waving her hand dismissively."
“Come have lunch. I'll take Bowen."
Though she wasn't hungry, Camila handed Bowen over to Rowena and sat down to eat something.
After lunch, they took Joe to the amusement park and dined out.
Camila mentioned that this arrangement allowed Glenda to take a break and avoid cooking.
Camila was unsure if Isaac would return home that night.
Wanting to inform him that both she and Glenda were out, she decided to call him.
The call connected quickly.
Suddenly, a scream pierced the air!
Camila's heart raced as anxiety washed over her. "Isaac?!" she yelled, her voice laced with panic.
The Johnston family's ancient abode stood silent.
Robin's funeral had passed.
Now, Travis was next in line.
When Alick was told that Travis was behind all this, he was enraged and wanted payback.
Isaac's cell buzzed.
