Chapter: 2052
Morrison noticed her stiffness and asked gently, “Are you alright?"

Laura quickly looked down, avoiding Forrest's eyes. “I'm fine, just feeling a bit chilly all of a sudden."

"I did tell you to put on more layers when you came, but you didn't listen," Morrison said, adjusting Laura's clothes and giving her his jacket to wear.

His jacket was still warm.

Laura, her mind back in the present, whispered, "But if you gave it to me, won't you be cold?"

"I'm a man. I can handle the cold," Morrison said.

Forrest couldn't bear to watch any longer.

Were they doing this in front of him on purpose?

“Laura?" He raised his voice intentionally.

ALL eyes turned to him.

Camila nudged him, whispering, "What are you doing?"

“Laura and I have known each other for a long time. We should say hello," he said, slipping his hands into his pockets as he approached Laura.

Stopping just a step away from her, he asked, "Do you still remember me?"

"Yes," replied Laura gently. Her voice was low, with a hint of hoarseness.

Forrest's hand, previously in his pocket, clenched into a fist, but his face remained calm. "Married?" he asked. “Why didn't you invite me? That wasn't cool."

Laura lowered her eyes, saying nothing.

Morrison asked, "Are you a friend of Laura's too?"

Forrest nodded, pointing to Camila. "Mila and I were close friends with Laura. We knew each other in college, even had classes together. Did Laura ever mention me to you?"

Morrison shook his head. “She only mentioned Camila, saying she was her best friend."

Forrest added, "I was also one of her best friends. I even pursued her once. But unfortunately, she didn't see me as more than a friend."
