Chapter: 2067
After the group's agreement to not be divided, Camila ordered for the records of the artificial heart experiments they did on a goat.
Fortunately, the records showed that the goat was in good condition.
At this point, if the goat hadn't died within a month into the experiment, they could consider it healthy and the experiment a success, Camila closed the records. "Monitoring the goat is no longer necessary," she told Hyman.
"Got it." Hyman nodded. “But should we still keep the goat at our place?"
“Yes, please," Camila said.
They spent the next short while to talk about work. Afterwards, Camila took her leave and walked out of the institute.
On her way out, she saw Tyrese being stopped by the gate.
She didn't pay him any mind and turned around to walk back.
But he already saw her and started cursing at her. “You're a fraud, Camila! You killed my father! I'll make you pay with your own life-!"
Then, silence. Suddenly, his shouting stopped, making Camila turn around, When she did, she saw that Tyrese already crashed on the ground.
As Eagle stood beside him, Tyrese rose to his feet, accusing Eagle with a trembling finger. "You! If you dare lay a hand on me again, I'll sue you for assault!"
Eagle deliberately raised his hand, causing Tyrese to flinch and shield his head. "Don't hit me," he pleaded.
“If you don't want to get hurt, leave now!" Eagle's warning carried a sharp edge as he spoke firmly.
Knowing he was no match for Eagle's strength, Tyrese slunk away in defeat.
Camila approached, feeling a sense of security in Eagle's presence as her bodyguard.
"If he tries anything again, I won't let him off so easily. I'm tired of seeing his face," Eagle remarked, his frustration palpable.
As they got into the car, Camila advised, “You should keep your distance from people like him. He's unreasonable. Once he latches onto you, it's nearly impossible to shake him off."
"It's the first time I've encountered someone like that," Eagle remarked.
“Unfortunately, there are plenty of them out there," Camila replied.
The world was teeming with peculiar characters, and Camila had come to accept that fact.
