Chapter: 2075
"We're not going to that hospital," Camila clarified.
"Then where are we going?" Eagle inquired.
"It doesn't matter. Just see if there's another hospital nearby,"
Camila replied wearily, her fatigue evident.
Glancing at Camila through the rearview mirror, Eagle noticed her exhaustion but refrained from probing further.
He quickly checked the GPS and discovered another hospital a bit farther away. Without delay, he steered the car in that direction.
Eventually, they arrived at their destination.
Camila stepped out of the car and instructed Eagle, “Don't mention to anyone that I came here."
"Understood," Eagle acknowledged solemnly.
With that, Camila entered the hospital.
She visited the hospital for gynecological examinations, her mind swirling with anticipation and anxiety as she was waiting for the results.
An hour later, the results finally arrived, clenched in her hand as she made her way to the outpatient room.
The doctor perused the reports before fixing his gaze upon her.
“According to the examination results, you're indeed experiencing a biochemical pregnancy. Most patients remain oblivious to such occurrences. Why did you think of that?"
Camila inhaled deeply, her intuition validated by the doctor's words.
Despite her menstrual cycle showing no delay, this time it arrived with an unusual intensity, accompanied by alarming blood clots.
As a heart surgeon, gynecology lay beyond her expertise, yet she possessed enough understanding to discern the irregularity. Perhaps more than most women.
Camila's silence led the doctor to assume her guess was merely coincidental. Patiently, the doctor explained, “Biochemical pregnancy is a term that came about with the HCC test. It means you might not notice any pregnancy signs, and it ends quickly, often before a regular period cycle. It happens because of embryo issues, leading to a natural miscarriage. This is what we call biochemical pregnancy, a specific type of miscarriage. Without the HCC test, you might think it's just a heavier period. Wait a few days before your next check-up. If bleeding stops, your future pregnancies shouldn't be affected."
"But..."
Her gaze fell upon Camila, delivering a sobering revelation. “Based on your examination, it appears your body may not be conducive to childbirth. Your uterine condition is delicate."
