Chapter: 2136
Isaac remained silent, his thoughts unreadable.

"Are you listening to me?" Camila asked with furrowed brows.

Playing with Joe in his arms, Isaac responded after a moment, "What did you say again?"

He wasn't that invested with the topic because he knew Forrest would calm down after staying in jail for a few days.

Moreover, Forrest seemed less impulsive than before, meaning he had become mature.

He didn't need others to worry about him anymore.

Without waiting for Camila's reply, Isaac pushed the bowl of soup she had ladled for him and said, "Just eat and stop worrying about him, okay? Finish this soup."

But Camila pushed it back and insisted, "I scooped that for you, so you finish it."

Knowing Camila wouldn't take no for an answer, Isaac conceded and finished the soup.

After dinner, Alick drove Annis to the airport, while Camilla, Isaac, Rowena and Joe headed home.

Joe's mood dampened after Annis left. He didn't want to be around anyone except Camila, so Rowena had no choice but to let him sit next to Camila on the drive back home.

Joe reclined listlessly in his mother's arms, while Bowen slept quietly in the baby seat.

"What's the matter with him? Is he sick?" Isaac asked in a low voice, glancing at Joe.

“He didn't want Annis to leave, so he's upset," Camila said, stroking Joe's back gently.

“That's not true," Joe denied with a pout.

“Okay, if you say so. Why are you upset then?" Camila asked.

“I'm not upset," Joe stressed, pulling a long face. “I'll go and see Grandma."

"But we're already heading home," Camila said.

"I want to see Grandma!" Joe insisted stubbornly.

Not liking the boy's tone, Isaac called out in a low voice, "Joe."
