She agreed, finally relenting.

She would use this opportunity to announce her impending departure to everyone.

"Make sure it's a nice spot. Ms. Haynes can afford it," someone chimed in, prompting a knowing chuckle from the group.

Camila interjected, "I don't have much money..."

"No, but your husband does," came the blunt reply.

Camila was left momentarily speechless.

Indeed, it was an irrefutable fact that everyone seemed to be well aware of.

With a helpless smile playing on her lips, Camila turned on her heel and made her way back to her office.

Retrieving her phone, she dialed Isaac's number.

The phone was soon connected.

“I won't be back tonight."

Her plan to take Joe to the cinema would have to be out on hold for now.
