Chapter: 2152
After their shower, Isaac casually slipped into a bathrobe and attempted to help Camila into hers.

However, she resisted, still feeling overheated from the shower.

“I'm too hot," she protested, unwilling to put on the robe.

Isaac, feeling the heat himself, reluctantly wrapped Camila in her bathrobe and carried her out of the bathroom.

With Glenda absent and Rowena occupied with the baby, the living room lay deserted as Isaac made his way upstairs with Camila in his arms.

Entering the bedroom, he gently placed her on the bed, but Camila immediately pulled at her bathrobe, struggling with the oppressive heat.

Concern etched his features as he wiped her hair, exhaustion weighing heavily on him. "You shouldn't drink alcohol anymore," he admonished softly, his weariness evident.

After tidying up, Isaac nestled beside Camila, cradling her in his arms as sleep beckoned.

Perhaps the shower had brought her some comfort, for Camila slipped into a deep slumber.

Hours passed until the midday sun streamed through the windows, rousing Camila from her sleep.

Pressing a hand to her temples, she groaned, feeling the onset of a headache.

"I'm thirsty," she croaked, her voice hoarse.

Isaac fetched her a glass of water, watching as she slowly regained her senses. She took the glass gratefully, her eyes squinting against the light. "What time is it?"

"It's past ten o'clock," he replied.

Realizing how late it was, Camila rose from the bed, her movements sluggish. “It's already so late," she remarked, straightening her bathrobe before turning to Isaac with a puzzled expression.

“Did you help me shower?" she inquired.

Isaac nodded solemnly. "You were covered in vomit. Did you expect me to leave you like that?"

Camila was taken aback.

Did she truly mean so little to him that he would even consider abandoning her when she was in need?

"You didn't go to work?" she questioned.
