"You should visit the company before we depart for Clouland," Alick suggested.

Camila, puzzled, responded, “Why should I go there now?"

Alick explained, “Mr. Johnston's return date is uncertain. I've kept the news of his absence quiet to avoid alarming the company. There's fear it could cause panic among the staff."

Isaac could normally steady the situation.

Yet, if word spread that Isaac had been in an accident, it could shift the employees’ sentiments.

Camila was not aware of these intricacies, but she understood Alick's logic made sense.

She questioned further, “But what good will my presence do there?"

"Upon arriving, inform everyone that Mr. Johnston has tasked you with learning to manage the company. It's important you make an appearance,"

Alick instructed.

"Alright," Camila agreed, nodding her understanding.

Alick observed her closely.

Noting her pale complexion, he suggested, “Perhaps some makeup?"

Camila nodded in agreement. “Just a moment."

She ascended the stairs and slipped into her suit, her only formal attire, applying heavier makeup to conceal her pallor.

Descending, Alick inspected her appearance again.

Satisfied, he declared, "Let's go."

They left the house, with Alick driving.
