Chapter: 2289
“Yes, ma'am. The travel must have been tiring," he replied respectfully.

Rowena sighed and turned to leave, carrying Bowen out to the spacious yard.

The fresh air here was a welcome change from the domestic bustling city atmosphere.

Their country had a large population and was developing fast, threatening air quality.

Eagle remained vigilant, guarding the entrance.

Finally, Camila stirred awake.

Having experienced a deep sleep due to her exhaustion, she awoke prematurely, burdened by worrisome thoughts that prevented her from finding peace.

The first thing she did was reach for her phone, a flicker of hope sparking in her eyes.

But the screen remained blank, with no missed calls or messages.

Disappointment washed over her.

"Mama!" Joe cried out, scrambling into her arms.

Camila scooped him up, her worry momentarily forgotten. She kissed his forehead. “Does your head still hurt?"

Joe, almost forgetting his earlier tumble, shook his head.

"Let's go see Bowen," she said, her voice filled with warmth.

As Camila stepped out of the room, she spotted Eagle. “Where's Bowen?" she asked.

"In the yard, ma'am," he replied.

Just as she turned to leave, Eagle stopped her again. "Mrs. Johnston..."

Camila turned as Eagle approached. "Hmm?"

"Brent just stopped by; I didn't wake you. The tutor you requested has arrived," Eagle informed her.

Acknowledging him, Camila headed to the living room, carrying Joe, who was getting notably heavier.
