Chapter: 2300
Just as Camila was about to dial again, Forrest grabbed her hand and said, "Hold up."
“Huh? Why?" Camila asked, confused.
"It's pretty obvious. Isaac probably has no other option now."
Forrest whispered, “If he's okay, why wouldn't he give you his whereabouts? Sounds like someone is pulling his strings. He called you just to say he's okay."
Camila glanced at Forrest, her eyes filled with worry.
"Do you think he's in trouble?"
She nervously clutched the hem of her clothes.
Her hand clenched the fabric so tightly that blue veins popped out.
Forrest tried to reassure her. "Isaac is sharp. He'll figure out how to handle the situation."
But Camila still couldn't shake off her worries. "Can you trace the location where I just called?"
“Sorry, actually, we can only track the address when the phone is connected. Don't worry. I'm confident he'll reach out again, no matter what," Forrest said calmly.
Camila was so jittery that she didn't know what to do. "But how can we just sit around and do nothing?"
"Maybe the best thing we can do now is not to make things harder for him," Forrest said in a soft tone.
He lightly patted her on the shoulder.
“Hey, take a breath. Relax."
Camila took a deep breath, nervously biting her Lip.
The man finally trusted Isaac, so he let Isaac call his family to let them know he was okay.
But he was still nervous. He feared Isaac might let slip too much information.
They couldn't take the risk of this place getting found out.
To steer clear of trouble, the man snatched the phone away before Isaac could finish speaking.
