Chapter: 2407
Forrest knew Isaac longer than she did, so Camila was curious as hell about the information Forrest was deliberately hiding from her.
She didn't know much about Isaac's past, so hearing a thing or two about it would be helpful for her to know him more. Not to mention that Forrest's purposeful shunning of her inquiry had only made her more curious.
Forrest wanted to say something but stopped on a second thought. What did he mean?
The curiosity piqued by Forrest now was boiling in her heart, making her unable to calm at all.
“Come on, Forrest. What do you mean? Tell me," Camila texted him a message, her annoyance palpable.
Reclining on the bed, Forrest heard his phone ring but ignored it.
He was still enjoying Camila's predicament to cut it short by giving in to her urging.
It turned out that Camila, who always kept composed, would also be anxious.
She finally had a taste of such frustration.
People had to be in other people's shoes to understand what they were going through.
Unless they went through the same hole and bore the same wounds, people wouldn't understand the same pain.
No amount of sympathy could make one feel the hurt the same way as the other.
Ever.
Forrest held his ground, but the ringing of his phone had become too incessant to ignore.
Sitting up on the bed, he picked up the phone.
On the screen, he saw a bunch of message notifications, all screaming his name.
Smirking, he climbed off the bed and opened the door.
Camila's furrowed brows abruptly eased with surprise as the door suddenly sprung open.
Regaining composure, she regarded Forrest with a raised brow.
"Why don't you come in and talk inside?" Forrest offered with a smile.
