Chapter: 2414
“Well, how's Laura?" she inquired.
Morrison replied, “She's doing well!"
After ending the call, Morrison was about to turn when Laura's voice echoed from behind, "Who were you talking to?"
Handing her the phone, Morrison replied, “Camila called you."
"What did she say?" Laura took over the phone naturally.
Morrison responded nonchalantly, "She mentioned that Forrest will be coming here."*
Laura's countenance stiffened, her eyelids drooping as she uttered in a hushed tone, “What is he doing here?"
"I don't know," Morrison replied.
“When will he arrive?" Laura inquired.
Instead of answering, Morrison questioned her, "Do you trust me?"
Laura gazed at him.
She remained silent.
Naturally, she had faith in him.
How could she commit to him without trust?
“Why are you asking?" Laura wondered.
Morrison candidly responded, “If you trust me, you don't need to meet Forrest. I'll handle it."
Laura studied him for a moment before smiling. "If I didn't trust you, why would I have agreed to marry you?"
Morrison quipped, "I still wonder if you were thinking clearly back then."
Laura was at a loss for words.
Their gazes locked, and Morrison laughed softly.
