Exiting the airport in unison, Morrison took the wheel. They intended to locate a restaurant, café, or similar venue.

Spotting a park, Forrest proposed, “How about we discuss matters here?"

The park was large and empty.

It was also very quiet.

Morrison inquired, "Aren't you hungry?"

"No," replied Forrest.

They parked the car by the roadside before proceeding into the park on foot.

Taking seats on a lengthy stone bench.

Forrest began, "I..."

Forrest felt a little awkward.

In fact, he was so embarrassed that he couldn't utter a word.

He understood it was inconsiderate for Laura and Morrison that he appeared unannounced.

He also realized his presence would inevitably disrupt their Lives.

Perhaps one man understands another more deeply than women do.

Morrison glanced at him and asked, “Are you here to see the child?"

Forrest was taken aback.

Morrison continued, "I know you're not trying to sabotage our family. If you intended to ruin the bond between Laura and me, you wouldn't have sincerely offered your congratulations last time in Heinz."

After a brief pause, he added, "I can empathize with your feelings, but I also hope you recognize that although the child is biologically yours, she belongs to Laura too. If you intend to take the child away or to separate her from Laura, I won't permit it unless Laura consents."

Morrison understood without doubt that Laura would never relinquish the baby to Forrest.

She had carried the child for nearly ten months before giving birth unassisted.
