The next day, preparations for the move began.

Their earlier relocation had left them with few belongings, making the return simple. Only clothes and personal items were packed. There was no furniture.

Packing up and driving back was hassle-free.

It was even easier back at the manor. Brent would take care of everything.

They'd teamed up to prank Forrest Last time. and since then, they'd forged an unlikely bond.

Joe nodded eagerly.

“We'll need practice tools first," Eagle explained.

"Can't we just use rocks?" Joe tilted his head hopefully.

Eagle ruffled his hair. "Not yet. You're too young for that."

His fingers were too weak to practice shooting with stones.

Joe's face fell.

"But you can learn the basics," Eagle reassured him. “Like aiming."
