Chapter: 2499
Her lips curved up into a smile.

This was the first time she had seen him behave so gently.

Sure enough, children were the best gift from God to parents.

She left the room and shut the door with a soft click.

Forrest stayed in the hotel to take care of his daughter the next day, and Camila went to meet Aldrin alone.

His hair was shaved into a buzz cut and he was wearing a blue prison uniform.

He hadn't lost weight. Instead, he looked like he had built some muscles.

"I came in a rush and didn't get you anything. So, I picked up a few essentials for you on the way. They will give it to you." Camila studied him through the glass.

Aldrin didn't look down. He appeared cheerful as he answered, “Okay. I'm delighted that you could come to visit me.”

Camila felt content when she saw him like this. "How have you been..."

"Camila, don't be anxious. I'm alright." He grinned at her, revealing his white teeth. He had become tanned, which was probably why his teeth were so conspicuous. “I committed a crime, so I have to pay for it. I'm at peace in here."

In contrast to his previous constant anxiety, Aldrin now felt no internal pressure. Instead, an overwhelming sense of joy prevailed.

This newfound happiness was reflected in his radiant demeanor.

Camila nodded in agreement. "Is there anything specific you desire? I'll purchase them for you."

Aldrin shook his head. “I don't lack anything here. And... Laura recently brought me numerous items. She visits frequently. Please, do not be concerned."

Upon hearing this, Camila pressed her lips together, suspecting that Laura's future visits might become infrequent.

"I will come by as often as I can..."

"You need to prioritize the children. Don't worry about me. The distance is considerable. However, if you find yourself nearby, feel free to visit," Aldrin replied with a smile.

Camila gazed at Aldrin's beaming face.

She bowed her head, burdened with remorse.
