Chapter: 2506
"That's not what I mean... I... I didn't," Willie stammered.

Camila rolled her eyes and walked past him to the doctor. She was in the dark regarding Isaac's condition since he hadn't told her how he was doing. Asking the doctor about how well he was doing was something she needed to do before seeing him.

“Excuse me, doctor, what's the current state of Isaac's eyes?" she asked softly.

The doctor frowned slightly and asked, "Who are you to him?"

“I'm his wife," Camila quickly replied.

"Oh, I see," the doctor said. Looking like he just remembered something, he asked, “You were the one that called me that other time, right?"

Camila nodded politely and replied, “Yes.”

"He should be ready to be discharged in less than a month," the doctor said.

"That's nice to hear. Thank you so much, doctor," Camila said with a soft smile on her face.

Even if the doctor had said that it would take longer than that, Camila wouldn't have minded as long as she was assured that Isaac would be able to see again.

As there was something else that needed his attention, the doctor had to leave. However, before he did, he gave Camila some dos and don'ts.

Turning to look at Willie, Camila raised an eyebrow.

"Madam... I..." Willie stammered and smiled awkwardly.

As he was concerned that Camila might be in some danger if she followed him, Isaac had refused to let her do so. Also, he didn't want her to see him in such a weak state.

Camila was well aware that Isaac wouldn't be happy that she had visited.

But as his wife, she couldn't just help it.

He was the most perfect person that she had ever met and she couldn't stay away from him for a long time.

"You have to take me to his ward since I don't know it," Camila said to Willie. "Perhaps, I should first inform Mr. Johnston that you are around," Willie suggested.

"You don't really have to take me there yourself. You can just direct me and I'll go to him myself alone so that he would think that I'm you," Camila said.

Willie couldn't believe his ears.
