Chapter: 2518
Unaware that the child was Laura's, her comment made Jeremy tense.
Realizing she might have touched a sensitive topic, Rowena quickly shifted the conversation. "How old is she?"
"Almost three months," Forrest replied.
Rowena looked at the little girl and sighed, "We've only had boys in this house until now. It's nice to have a girl. She's adorable."
“Is she my sister?" Joe asked Forrest with genuine curiosity.
“She can be like a sister to you," Forrest explained. “But it's different from how you're related to your brother. Your brother is related to you by blood, but she isn't."
Joe's brow furrowed in confusion. "What's the difference?"
For a moment, both Forrest and Rowena were at a loss for words.
Glenda chimed in, trying to clarify, "If you're not related by blood, you could marry her one day."
This revelation silenced Joe. He seemed to ponder the implications of marrying someone. "I'm too young," he finally muttered before running off to find Eagle, who was teaching him how to shoot.
Watching Joe dash away, Forrest was torn between amusement and bemusement. "What does he mean? Doesn't he like my daughter?"
“Do you really want Joe to marry your daughter?" Rowena asked. “If he's not interested, it's no issue. We still have Bowen as an option.”
Forrest was once again lost for words. His daughter was precious to him, and it didn't seem appropriate to talk about whom she would marry so early.
“I must choose her future husband wisely," he concluded quietly.
Rowena felt a wave of displeasure wash over her.
"Do you mean Joe and Bowen aren't good enough?" she demanded.
Forrest quickly tried to soothe her. "They are good, but they're just too young."
He suddenly recalled Camila mentioning that Isaac had always wanted a daughter.
Well, that was something he wouldn't be having.
Forrest decided to show off in front of Isaac when he returned that he now had a child, specifically, a daughter.
