Alick brought her hand to his lips and kissed it before asking. "Who?"

"Camila," Annis said with a smile.

It truly surprised her that Camila would be this thoughtful.

Alick was equally so, evident by his raised eyebrow.

"This kind of stuff is usually shared between besties. I didn't know Camila thought of me as one. I feel we've become much closer now,”

Annis happily continued.

Alick nodded, agreeing to her observation.

“I feel lucky," Annis added.

Despite her harsh childhood as an orphan, she was blessed to be adopted by such a good family as the Johnstons.

Her adoptive parents treated her as their own, and Isaac had been nothing but a good brother to her.

He even gave her shares of his company.

He might not be expressive, but his thoughtful gestures had always made Annis feel she was family.

Snuggling deeper into Alick's arms, Annis sighed. "I must be a good sister and aunt in the future."

Alick patted her head gently. "You definitely are."

He believed her adoptive family cherished her as their own because of her selflessness and sincerity.
