Chapter: 672
“That's because he has always been faithful to me. This is exactly the reason why you should listen to me. I can teach you how to win a man's undying devotion." Audrey helped Fidelia stand up before adding, "When you meet him, don't say anything. Just cry."
She was well aware of Fidelia's idiocy. She would undoubtedly expose the holes in their plan if she talked in front of Isaac.
There was no doubt that Audrey was a very cunning woman. Otherwise, she would not have been able to get away with repeatedly trying to kill Isaac.
Fidelia nodded.
“Okay, I'll do as you say, but only if you promise that I can win Isaac over with your plan."
"I promise," Audrey stated confidently.
Fidelia believed her without a doubt.
“Remember, you have to act very miserable around Isaac," Audrey reminded.
Fidelia nodded. "Got it."
“Don't forget, okay?" Audrey prompted.
After making sure that Fidelia understood everything, she escorted her to where Willie was waiting.
Willie grimaced as he lamented how dirty Fidelia was, both figuratively and literally.
“Come with me," he said.
Fidelia hugged herself tightly. Her clothes were in tatters, exposing her shoulders.
Her eyes were red and swollen. Her cheeks were smeared with tears, and her hair was a mess. In short, she looked extremely miserable.
“Mr. Johnston," Willie called when they reached Isaac.
“Get her in the other car," Isaac instructed without even Looking at Fidelia.
“Yes, sir."
Willie immediately guided the woman to the other car they had brought. Following Audrey's advice, Fidelia said nothing and just wept.
Her sobs were truly heart-rending.
Willie managed to find something Fidelia could wear. Once she was settled in the car, Willie approached Isaac and asked, "What should we do now, Mr. Johnston?"
It was the perfect opportunity for Isaac to get back at Audrey. Considering how many times she tried to murder him, he had every right to kill her. Someone as vicious as her deserved a terrible death. Isaac had brought his men with him. He only had to say the word, and they would kill her for him. With how few her subordinates were, she would not be able to defend herself.
Of course, Isaac wanted to kill Audrey, but he was not a rash decision-maker.
"Killing her would only taint our hands."
After some consideration, Isaac said, "Let's go."
