After taking a deep breath, she focused her attention on the task ahead. Even though she had performed an operation before, it wasn't a heart operation.

As the operation went on, Josiah didn't utter a single word. He didn't need to, because the surgery was going well.

Once the operation was a success, the patient was sent to the ICU. Impressed by Camila's skills, Josiah nodded in satisfaction and praised, "You're a talented doctor."

Camila felt flattered by this and replied, “Well, you taught me a lot." Josiah flashed a smile and said nothing else.

In his heart, he now regarded Camila to be his successor.

If his tremor wouldn't be cured, he might not be able to practice surgery anymore in the future.

This time, Camila managed to handle the situation.

However, he was unsure what would happen next time.

"can I get off work earlier today?" Camila asked Josiah. She wanted to go back early today so that she could see Isaac and explain it to him.

Josiah said readily, "Yes, but just this once."

Camila's face lit up.

“Thank you!"

She packed up and got off work.

When she got in the car, her phone suddenly rang.

As soon as she answered the call, she heard Aldrin's voice saying, “Camila, I have some clues about the thing that you've asked me to investigate."

Aldrin added, "Do you want me to see you? Or will you come to me?" After hesitating for a while, Camila asked, "Where are you? I'm going to see you."

“I'm in the company and about to go home. Shall we meet at home?" Aldrin proposed.

Camila agreed.

“To the Haynes' house," she told the driver.

Then, she grabbed her phone and stared at it for a while, deliberating whether she should call home. A few seconds later, she began dialing the number of her house.

Glenda answered the phone.

“Is Isaac there?" Camila asked. "Ask him to answer the phone. Is Joe doing well?"

“Joe's doing fine, but Mr. Johnston isn't here. He asked me to pack his things and told me that he would go abroad. Didn't he tell you?"

Camila remembered what Isaac had said to her earlier. She sank her head and said, “He told me he was going abroad, but I didn't know that he was leaving today. Did he tell you when he's coming back?"

"No," Glenda replied.
