Isaac held Camila's hand firmly and she smiled brightly at him.

“You can be on your way already. I won't be working today. I will stay home and cook while I wait for you."

"Alright," Isaac said and nodded in agreement.

Camila watched as Isaac drove away.

She stood on the steps, watching the car until it disappeared from her sight. Then she went down the stairs where she could hail a taxi from the roadside.

ALL of a sudden, she heard her phone ring

Camila picked it up and heard Josiah's voice from the other end.

He sounded very anxious, urging her to come to the hospital as quickly as possible.

"What happened? Has anything gone wrong?" Camila asked in a concerned tone.

“Yes! Please come over here as quick as you can," Josiah urged over the phone.

“Okay, I will be there right away."

She couldn't banish Josiah's urgings to hurry up from her head. Worried about the urgency in his voice, she became increasingly anxious when she couldn't find a taxi.

She had never heard Josiah so upset like that before, so she suspected that something really serious must have occurred.

Luckily, she didn't have to wait too long before finding a taxi.

Half an hour later, she arrived at the hospital.

Upon her arrival, a nurse approached her and said, “Mr. Singh requested for me to escort you to the operating room.”

“Operating room? What is he doing there now? Is there an impromptu surgery today?"

"Yes. It is an emergency case and a very dangerous one. Mr. Singh will be performing the surgery himself."

Camila suddenly grasped the gravity of the situation and quickly washed up, got disinfected and changed her clothes before entering the operating room.

“Mr. Singh," she called him immediately she got to the entrance of the operating room. She quickly walked towards him

Seeing her, Josiah immediately called her over

As she approached, Camila realized that it wasn't a heart operation as she had earlier suspected, but a craniotomy.

It seemed like a trance to her as she Looked to see the patient's face. As soon as Camila saw the patient's face and realized it was Greta, she went pale with shock and fright.

Josiah explained that Greta had fainted suddenly and was brought to the hospital by Nelson. After an X-ray, they found that she had a cerebral hemorrhage and her condition was critical. That was why he had to perform the emergency craniotomy to save her life.

But Camila was in too much shock upon realizing that the patient was Greta that she couldn't hear his explanation.
