Chapter: 936
Mrs. Walters sat under the stage, a deep frown creased her forehead. She wished she could tell her son to just do it, but she didn't want to alert Divya's mother who wasn't far from her.
Divya's parents on their side were already frowning slightly. What was wrong with Forrest?
Having hosted many weddings before, the host had seen it all and could easily handle the situation. So, he said with good humor, “Our bridegroom is shy. He must want to give his bride the sweetest kiss in the privacy of their honeymoon suite. Now, please enjoy the rest of the night. Drink as much as you want and bless this couple.”
After another beautiful round of applause, the bride went backstage to change her dress.
The dinner began immediately after
Seated at her table, Camila didn't have appetite.
Just one look at her and Isaac knew what she was thinking. Isaac pursed his lips and said, “I know you want to go. Come on, I'll go with you.” Camila acted confused for a moment.
“Where to?"
“The 26th floor?"
Camila pressed her lips together and looked at the hall. "Is it okay for us to just leave?”
“It's okay. We won't be long,” he answered.
The two of them left the hall from the corner so they wouldn't be noticed and took the elevator to the 26th floor.
They stopped in front of Room 502, and found that the door was half closed.
She effortlessly pushed the door open. However, the room was empty.
Camila's forehead creased in a frown.
“Is someone playing some sick joke on me?"
Isaac remained silent, but he had a rough idea of what was going on in his mind.
Maybe it wasn't a prank after all. It seemed more likely that the person who had planned to set Camila up had cleaned up the place thoroughly, Leaving no trace behind. They must have realized that she was too smart to fall into such an apparent trap.
“Let's head back," Camila simply said.
She felt it was a bit improper for them to be wandering around during someone else's wedding.
Isaac nodded in agreement.
At the elevator door, Camila leaned towards Isaac, intending to take his hand. However, before her hand could wrap around his, the elevator came up and the door slid open, interrupting the moment.
Camila hesitated, then pulled her hand back, but Isaac reached out, took her hand and held it firmly.
She was taken aback.
The sensation of their hands touching caused a sudden flutter in Camila's chest.
