While this was going through Alexis' mind, Evelyn suddenly woke up just like Alexis had feared. She rubbed her eyes and let go of Ollie.

“What are you talking about, daddy?" she asked in a daze. “Mommy needs what?"

Alexis couldn't help but feel so embarrassed.

But Leonel quietly leaned over and wiped the saliva from Evelyn's mouth. Then with his eyes on Alexis, he answered, "I asked your mommy if she wanted to try my cooking."
