Chapter: 3743
Not that the current period was bad, but it was certainly different.

With one hand on Melissa's waist the entire time, Marcus finished his cigarette in the dark. It was rare for him to crave cigarettes Like this. Just as he was about to Light another one, Melissa stopped him.

She put the cigarette back into the box and said, "That's enough for today. It would be better if you could reduce your smoking in the future."

Marcus looked at her affectionately when she said this.

The two of them were acting so intimately that the domestic staff didn't dare come over to interrupt them. But eventually, Elsie ventured, "I know we shouldn't have let Mr. Smith in, but it's not easy to stop someone like him."

“Just don't let him in next time," Marcus replied dismissively. “He really annoyed me today."

“Okay, sir. Elsie nodded obediently and hurried off to prepare dinner.

Being in a good mood, Marcus asked for a bottle of red wine to be served during dinner. As they ate, his phone rang several times, but he didn't answer it. "Answer it if you have something important to deal with," Melissa admonished.

"It's James," Marcus told her. "He wants me to go out for a drink.

You really want me to go?"

Melissa didn't say anything in response at first. She just lowered her head and went on with her meal.

But after a while, she looked up and asked softly, “Would there be any girls?"

"I don't know," Marcus answered with a faint smile. "I guess there might be a few."

"In that case, you are not allowed to go!" Melissa muttered.

Marcus took a sip of the red wine before answering, "You know, it's rare for Matthew and Yvonne to not be at home. Don't you want to relax a little bit?"

Melissa was surprised to hear this.

But Marcus added, "Jessie will be there too. She's now in charge of the Green family's business. Though the business is not so huge, they always have a budget for social engagements. And I have to say that Jessie is really an ambitious woman."

After hearing this, Melissa changed her mind.

She hadn't seen Jessie for almost half a month. She couldn't wait to see and talk to her in person.

Since he had consumed some alcohol, Marcus didn't drive his car.
