Chapter: 3896
Jessie couldn't help but blush in shame when she read this.
After thinking for a moment, she sent him a response. “Sorry, I can't help you with that."
Then she blocked him.
At this point, Lettie suddenly came in with a glass of milk. She had seen her daughter texting, so she asked her, “Are you sending messages to Axell? Is he very enthusiastic about you?"
For a moment, Jessie was stunned by this question. Then she said, “Yeah, kinda."
Lettie believed the lie and it made her feel relieved. Not wanting to disturb Jessie, she dropped the milk and left.
Left alone, Jessie went back to reading. But when it was finally time to go to bed, she got a call from Melissa who invited her out for shopping the next day. Since Jessie wanted to hang out with Melissa, she accepted the invitation.
But on the afternoon of the next day, she became very busy. Several clients had come to her studio in quick succession.
Not wanting to keep Melissa waiting, she called Melissa to reschedule their outing.
By now, Melissa had already arrived, and when she got the call from Jessie, she expressed her wish to take a look around the studio.
Jessie had to agree.
But just as Jessie showed Melissa around, Axell called and told Jessie that he was downstairs and that he would like her to have dinner with him.
Glancing at Melissa to see if she was looking in her direction or listening to her conversation, Jessie whispered to Axell, "Not today.
I'm sorry. Yes, I'm busy. My friend's here."
But Axell refused to give up.
Jessie sighed and finally conceded. “Okay, you can come up."
Then she hung up. But almost immediately, Melissa leaned over and whispered in her ear, "I heard from Mr. Waston that you have a boyfriend. Well, it seems he wasn't lying after all!"
Jessie's face turned red with embarrassment, "He told you that? Why?" she asked with a gasp.
Melissa nodded in the affirmative. "He said Jeslyn was very sad because of that," she pointed out.
This made Jessie feel even more embarrassed. She just didn't know what to say in response.
