Chapter: 3978
Despite the bruises marring his face and body, Axell was overwhelmed with sadness and indignation. The sting of betrayal by a woman who chose wealth over loyalty consumed him entirely. With a surge of emotion, Axell seized Albert's collar, and they engaged in a fierce struggle, each grappling with their own emotions and desires.
Jessie yearned to escape the escalating violence but found herself trapped in the chaos unfolding before her.
The two men clashed with increasing ferocity, each driven by their own intense emotions. Axell sought to strike Albert with desperation, while Albert seemed intent on inflicting serious harm.
Finally, the commotion attracted the attention of the neighbors, who swiftly summoned the police to restore order.
Axell and Albert entered the police station side by side. Jessie, the litigant, couldn't flee. She joined them to give her statement.
In a spacious and empty room, Axell felt like a caged animal, his senses returning as regret flooded his mind.
His remorse wasn't fueled by concern for Jessie's feelings but rather by the fear of how this incident could tarnish his future.
Axell stated stoically, "I consent to breaking up with Jessie. Let's reconcile. Escalating matters further today benefits no one."
Before Jessie could speak, Albert jeered. “Dr. Calderon, worried about a blemish on your pristine record? It's uncommon for a composed man like yourself to act impulsively."
Albert retrieved a white cigarette, placing it between his lips. Just before igniting it, he gazed up at the nearby policeman, inquiring deliberately, "Would you object to my indulging in a smoke?"
Albert's identity was known to all within the police station.
The superior advised the policeman against troubling Albert, aware of the legal team supporting him.
The policeman acquiesced with a nod.
Albert proceeded to light his cigarette calmly, taking a deep drag before casting a glance at Axell. "Dr. Calderon, you must be feeling quite remorseful. Considering the repercussions, no doubt. Regardless of today's outcome, I'll clarify one thing-Jeslyn is not my child with Jessie. She's my wife's."
Albert conveyed the message discreetly, though it remained cryptic to everyone else present.
"I have no interest in your dirty past," Axell retorted, a hint of contempt in his tone.
Immediately after Axell's words, Albert flicked his cigarette and retorted, “Very well. If you're set on tarnishing my reputation, my lawyer will handle it. You can expect to receive the court summons soon enough."
Axell was taken aback.
Suddenly, a slender figure loomed in the doorway.
It was Alexis.
