Chapter: 4132
Recalling a recent newspaper article, Alexis replied with a slight smile, “That's none of your business, Mr. Douglas."

Then, she ended the call.

After dealing with Leonel, Alexis grabbed her purse to leave work.

Olivia had invited her to a signing event. Alexis valued her family greatly and didn't want to let Olivia down.

As she was about to leave, her assistant knocked and entered the room.

“Miss Fowler, there's a young lady here who says her name is Cohen."

"Can you meet with her now?"

Cohen? Anika Cohen?

Alexis was surprised that Anika had shown up at her office unexpectedly... She didn't want to deal with Anika, since she and Leonel were divorced. It was Leonel's issue to handle Anika.

However, thinking it over, she decided, "Yes, please show her in Her assistant responded softly, “Understood.”

Soon after, Anika walked into the office. As the assistant hesitated over whether to offer coffee to the visitor, Alexis said, "That'll be all, thank you. Could you close the door on your way out?"

Once the assistant had left, Alexis stared directly at Anika.

Anika looked around the opulent office without showing much concern.

After all, Alexis had always lived in luxury.

With her back against the door, Anika started reluctantly, "Leonel and I..."

Before Anika could continue, Alexis cut her off. "I'm not interested in your story with Leonel. If you feel let down by him, you should look for him instead of bothering me, don't you think? I have nothing to do with him after our divorce!"

In contrast to her composed demeanor, Anika was quite emotional.

Anika laughed softly. “Divorced? Really? You two may not be together anymore, but Leonel still shows up at your house every week under the guise of picking up the kids. He's obviously here to see you, Miss Fowler. You can't deny that, can you?"

Upon hearing this, Alexis leaned back in her leather chair.

She observed Anika's face for a moment, then responded calmly, "You should have a talk with him. It's between you two."
