Chapter: 4144
The next morning, the doctor arrived with a nurse and conducted a thorough examination of Alexis to ensure her well-being.

Timmy also came.

Evelyn was fond of him. As he gently touched the little girl's head, he told Alexis, “We've convened an advisory panel with several experts to explore better treatment options for Evelyn."

Holding her rabbit plushy, Evelyn looked slightly nervous.

Alexis hugged her gently, aware that their chances were slim, but still hopeful. She looked up at Timmy and said, "If we can't find a treatment here, I will take her overseas. I have to try."

Timmy nodded. "Yes, there's still hope. Don't give up easily."

Then he bent down, touched Evelyn's nose with his slender finger, and she clutched the rabbit tightly as she stared at him.

After Timmy left, a servant brought in breakfast and informed Alexis that Waylen and Rena were tied up with something that morning and wouldn't arrive until the afternoon.

Alexis had breakfast with Evelyn, cherishing the quiet moment together.

As a survivor herself, Alexis was still in shock, but she knew her role as a mother came first. Evelyn desperately needed comfort, so Alexis had to be strong for her daughter and ensure she cooperated with the doctors' treatment plans.

Eventually, a nurse took Evelyn away, but Alexis chose not to follow.

Instead, she closed the door and saw Leonel clearing the breakfast dishes. He had spent the entire night in the hospital without eating.

Under different circumstances, someone might have been moved by his actions.

However, Alexis spoke Lightly. "You can leave now! Don't show up again."

Leonel, frowning, protested, "But Evelyn needs me. Alexis, I know you hate me, but now..."

“As long as you hand over Anika to me, I'll let you stay," Alexis replied coldly.

At that moment, a nurse entered with a blood bag in her hand, smiling.

"Mrs. Douglas, it's time for your transfusion. Your blood type is so rare that your husband had to donate his own blood for you. He's drawn several bags these past few days. He must love you very much."

Hearing the nurse's words-rare blood type.
