Chapter: 4145
Her husband's love was so powerful—

Alexis lowered her gaze and smiled faintly but did not refuse the nurse. She extended her arm, allowing the nurse to set up the transfusion. The dark red Liquid began to flow through the tube.

After the nurse left, the room fell silent again.

Alexis stood from the bed, looked at Leonel indifferently, and said, "Do you remember what you told me the other night? You said that I used your blood anyway, even though I was disgusted by it. Leonel, have you always believed that my father brought you back just to my blood bank? Now listen, I don't want anything from you, not even your blood!"

Leonel's face turned pale after hearing what she said.

Alexis stared into his eyes and pulled out the needle without expression. As she did, blood began to ooze from her hand.

The blood bag hit the floor, and blood dripped down along her hand.

She spoke gently. “Leonel, from now on, we have nothing to do with each other!"

After that, she refused any further communication with him. She called the Fowler family, and soon their bodyguards arrived. Marcus arrived at the hospital, and Leonel was escorted out of the ward.

Alexis' last words for him were—"I will never forgive you, Leonel!"

Meanwhile, the experts consulted were unable to find a solution for Evelyn's lost hearing.

Consequently, Alexis decided to take her daughter abroad for treatment.

Three days later, they left the hospital and returned to Fowler residence.

In the courtyard, the maple tree had been replaced with other plants.

Alexis stood there quietly while her assistant briefed her on the firm's current situation.

With a planned stay abroad of at least one month, there were many responsibilities Alexis needed to delegate before her departure.

Finally, Alexis asked in a cold voice, “Did you find out anything about Anika?"

The assistant paused before replying quickly, "Yes! But Miss Fowler, are you sure you want to see her personally?"

Seeing the stern look on Alexis' face, the assistant continued more quietly, "It cost us two million dollars to locate Anika... She looks really terrible now. It really isn't necessary for you to see her in person, Miss Fowler."

Alexis responded firmly, “I have to see it with my own eyes.”
