Chapter: 4166
Leonel looked at his daughter solemnly.

As Evelyn matured, her resemblance to Alexis became more striking, particularly in their matching eyebrows.

Closing his eyes briefly, Leonel affirmed, "No, I don't have feelings for that woman. I love your mom."

Evelyn cried out, “Then why were you with someone else?"

Leonel remained silent, unable to provide an answer.

He comforted Evelyn until she drifted back to sleep before returning to the master bedroom.

In the living room, Alexis lacked appetite, barely touching her food.

When the servant went upstairs for cleaning, Alexis intercepted her, slipping a diamond watch into her hand with a hushed tone. "Purchase a box of medicine for me, and this will be your reward. Leonel doesn't need to know."

The servant paused, considering her circumstances.

Despite her decent salary and rumors of Leonel's strictness, she couldn't ignore the risk. Tonight's dismissal of the driver served as a stark reminder. If Leonel discovered her assistance to Alexis, she might lose her job.

However, the watch in her hand was worth at least one hundred thousand dollars.

Alexis fixed her gaze on the servant, confident in her assumption. As anticipated, the servant hesitated briefly before agreeing. She promised to bring the medicine along with breakfast the following morning, pleading with Alexis not to reveal her involvement.

Alexis offered her reassurance.

Hastily tucking the watch into her apron pocket, the servant swiftly collected the plate and departed.

The corridor remained illuminated for a considerable period of time.

At the foot of the staircase, Leonel leaned against the railing, smoking silently, as though anticipating someone's arrival.

The servant nodded respectfully at Leonel before intending to descend the stairs.

However, Leonel halted her movements.

In a panic, the servant fumbled, causing the item in her hand to slip and fall to the floor. As she hastily stooped to retrieve it, the watch slipped out of her pocket. She attempted to conceal it, but before she could act, Leonel had already picked it up.

Examining it carefully, he spoke in a measured tone. "I believe this watch belongs to Alexis. You stole her watch. I should contact the authorities and have you taken to the police station immediately. They will question you to see if you've stolen anything else from the villa. You could face up to ten years in jail."
