Chapter: 4210
As they hurried to the hospital, Daniel's condition seemed worse than expected. The young boy battled a high fever, his words jumbled in delirium. Though he spoke, his words made little sense.

Leonel tended to Daniel personally, with Evelyn lending a hand.

Perched on the edge of the ward, Alexis watched Daniel's flushed face, a pang of sympathy washing over her. Daniel had always been healthy.

How could he suddenly fall ill?

"The doctor says he's got a cold,"

Leonel explained, adjusting the IV drip while keeping an eye on Daniel. In that moment, concerns about romance faded into the background. As parents, both Alexis and Leonel placed their children above all else.

For a moment, Alexis stopped caressing Daniel's face.

Considering the events of the previous night, she asked softly, “When did you leave last night?"

Although caught off guard by her sudden question, Leonel replied honestly, “Around one in the morning. Why do you ask?"

Alexis didn't answer directly.

Instead, she reached out to touch Daniel's forehead and said nothing.

She understood why Daniel was unwell. The boy must have slipped out of bed last night to secretly observe Leonel. His feelings toward his father were complex-he loved him, yet harbored resentment for what he'd done to Alexis.

While Alexis remained silent, Leonel pieced it together on his own.

His throat tightened as he muttered under his breath. “What a silly boy!"

At that moment, Daniel murmured something, “Comfort... her, Dad... Dad..."

Hearing this, Waylen and Rena also grasped the situation.

Their hearts went out to the young boy.

Daniel's sudden sickness made Alexis and Leonel confront their fractured relationship once more.

Alexis had stuck by Daniel's side since they had rushed to the hospital.

Initially, Waylen and Rena had fretted Alexis might clash with Leonel if they shared a space. But they kept their cool. Privately, Waylen muttered to Rena, “He's looking less like trouble now."
