Chapter: 4242
“You usually handle the parental check-ups alone, don't you?"
Sitting next to her old man, Alexis offered a faint smile.
She gently clasped Waylen's arm and spoke softly. "I was worried you might become too worked up. Plus, my assistant can handle the errands for me."
Waylen quickly countered, “Why would I get worked up? We have plenty of children in our family now. When have you ever seen me get worked up, huh? If you don't believe me, ask your mother."
Rena remained silent but sneered.
Observing this, Waylen lightly touched his nose, attempting to conceal his embarrassment. Then he turned to the young assistant and asked, "Where's the ultrasound results? Rena and I are eager to see our little granddaughter!"
The assistant replied with a smile, "I'll go back to the car and get it for you."
But in the next moment, her expression froze as she recalled that they had given the ultrasound image to Leonel.
She turned to Alexis for help.
Alexis too recalled the situation. Quickly, she redirected the conversation, saying, “The baby is doing well. Why don't we take a look at the result tomorrow?"
Judging from their expressions, Waylen sensed that Leonel must have also visited the hospital.
How dare he continue to bother Alexis!
Leonel caused a disturbance at the resort last night. As parents, Rena and Waylen felt saddened and apologetic for the young couple.
Others in the Fowler family shared similar sentiments. However, outsiders, including resort employees, seemed quite thrilled as they gossiped about Alexis and Leonel's situation.
It wasn't appropriate for outsiders to meddle in their domestic affairs.
Therefore, Waylen politely asked the assistant to leave first.
As they gathered in the drawing room, he hesitated before gently inquiring, “Did he go to the hospital? Did you give him the ultrasound report?"
Alexis remained silent but nodded in response.
Waylen and Rena exchanged glances, feeling somewhat helpless. Finally, Waylen sighed. "He should see it. It's his daughter too."
Worried Waylen might misunderstand, Alexis interjected quickly.
