With his eyes fixed on her, he saw her close the door gently.

Then with tears in his eyes, he rushed over to the driver side and said to the driver, "I'll drive them back by myself."

The driver hesitated for a moment. Then he shrugged and said, "Okay. Drive carefully then."

Leonel jumped into the driver seat and held the steering wheel tightly. "When you get abroad, send me a postcard if it's convenient," he said to Alexis. “Or you can send me some pictures of Cordelia so I can see how she's doing."
