Chapter: 4392
With that, she reached out to feel his forehead.
"I'm fine!"
Leonel responded quickly and nervously, his guilt apparent. The atmosphere grew awkward after his words. Alexis gazed at him for a moment before slowly saying, "Alright then."
Leonel inexplicably felt that Alexis was tormenting him.
It felt like she had a tight grip on his emotions.
Leonel disliked the sensation, but he was powerless to change it with Alexis present. Alexis suddenly leaned in close, whispering into his ear, “Hey, you don't seem alright."
"I'm fine, really."
“Alright, if you say so."
After Alexis spoke, she released his hand and turned to attend to Cordelia.
Leonel breathed a sigh of relief.
From his vantage point, he could see the tantalizing view under Alexis’ collar, though it was not fully revealed.
In the two years since the Merblune incident, he had abstained from sexual activity.
Leonel had gone without sex for two years.
He suspected that Alexis had orchestrated it, but her demeanor when leaning over was exceptionally gentle, and she seemed completely engrossed in caring for Cordelia. It appeared that she had no intention of seducing him.
Leonel drank half a glass of water, but his thirst remained unquenched.
Alexis straightened up and remarked, “Cordelia is fine. If you're not feeling well, you should head back."
Leonel reclined against the sofa, stating, “I've already instructed the driver to leave without me."
Essentially, he meant he wasn't planning on leaving.
Alexis didn't urge him to leave. Instead, she gestured towards the lounge. "You can rest in there. There's a bed and it'll be more comfortable."
Leonel desired to spend more time with Cordelia.
