Chapter: 4427
But Flora smiled and resumed her seat. Then she handed the tea cup to Olivia. "Have some tea, my dear," she urged her. "There's more than enough time to do the interview. Besides, I have nothing else to do now. I don't have to go on stage nor attend any more parties."
Frankly, Olivia liked Flora a lot. She looked at her admiringly and said in a flattering tone, "But you look just the same as the way you looked back then. You haven't aged even one bit. You're still so elegant and graceful. My mom envies you a lot."
Flora couldn't help but burst into laughter when she heard this.
“Are you kidding?" she asked between laughs. “Your mother envies me? No way! Do you know how many women used to envy her back then?"
Olivia had also heard about what had happened between Flora and her father. "Well," she said with a sheepish smile, “anyway, it doesn't change the fact that you look fantastic right now. Your husband is also a handsome and loyal man."
"You're such a good flatterer!" Flora chuckled.
While she was talking with Flora, Olivia had totally forgotten about the presence of Raphael. And she had no idea how lovely she Looked as she conversed with Flora.
Mark and Cecilia both had outstanding looks, so it was no surprise that Olivia was like this.
Raphael could still remember the first time he met Olivia.
Back then, Olivia herself had a crush on Raphael and even pursued him. But Raphael exercised so much restraint and kept turning her down again and again.
The reason was simply because his family had fallen on difficult times and his father had just gotten into deep trouble.
Nobody could have predicted what would happen later, and a relationship was the last thing on his mind.
Sitting quietly on his seat, Raphael took a sip of coffee from time to time, though the espresso seemed to taste particularly bitter today.
Before long, Sharon came back after she had changed into a black dress.
Raphael took a brief glance at her and said, “Let's go."
“But I haven't put on makeup yet," Sharon grumbled.
Raphael was taken aback by this. Nevertheless, he shrugged and said, “Okay. I'll wait for you in the car then."
Sharon was unhappy with Raphael's behavior, but when she noticed the presence of Olivia, she suddenly understood why Raphael had acted the way he did. Apparently, Olivia looked very happy as she conversed with Flora and Raphael couldn't bear to see her look so happy.
As far as he was concerned, he had suffered so much all these years, so how dare Olivia smile so widely and happily?
"Okay, I won't keep you waiting for long," Sharon said to him nonetheless.
