Chapter: 4470
Alexis squatted down, dusted off the photo on the tombstone, and spoke softly. "It's still chilly these days. But soon, spring will arrive, and this place will be filled with your favorite flowers. Birds will sing to you, but I wonder if you can hear them."

She felt a pang of sadness.

Calvin had departed so young, without experiencing marriage.

Alexis stood quietly beside the tombstone. In the bright sunlight, her wedding ring gleamed on her finger, matching the one worn by Leonel standing beside her.

Though she didn't explicitly mention her marriage, Calvin would have known since she came with Leonel.

In front of Calvin's grave, she continued to talk, while Leonel went back to the car to fetch some tools. He loosened the nearby soil and planted a maple tree himself, saying that when the branches grew Lush, it would be a home for Calvin.

They spent a considerable amount of time at the cemetery. By the time they returned to the hospital, dusk had settled.

Waylen awaited anxiously, concerned about his granddaughter's well-being and eager for her name to be changed back. Upon seeing the paperwork, he breathed a sigh of relief and then asked where they had been the whole afternoon.

“Dad, we got married,"

Leonel said with a smile, showing his ring to Waylen, who paused, staring at the them for a long moment before managing to speak. "You got married just like that?"

He then glanced at the wedding ring on his daughter's finger and couldn't hide his skepticism.

“Isn't it too simple, Leonel? Is your company facing financial difficulties? For such an important occasion, there isn't even a single diamond in the ring! If you're short on money, let me and Rena prepare a proper dowry for Alexis!"

Leonel hurriedly explained, “Everything is ready! I personally designed and customized this pair of wedding rings."

Waylen remained unconvinced.

"Let Rena handle the wedding arrangements. Oh, and Miss Holt recently seems to have some free time. She can help since her taste is quite good. This is your final marriage. We have to do this right."

If there was a next time, he wouldn't tolerate it.

He would drive both of them out of the house together.

Since changing Cordelia's name, there hadn't been any unusual incidents.

Days flew by, and the Fowler residence buzzed with activity as usual.

Rena busily prepared for Alexis and Leonel's wedding. Cecilia also came all the way from Czanch to assist. Alexis and Leonel didn't have to worry about a thing.
