Chapter: 4535
Olivia caressed her belly. During one ultrasound scan, the doctor suggested they were expecting a girl.

Olivia had always wanted a daughter.

After massaging her feet, Dylan looked up, concern shadowing his features. He asked softly, “Are you sure you're okay with staying at Edwin's? Won't it be hard for you to adjust?"

Recently, Dylan's overseas business faced a challenge. The vice president had tried to handle it but failed, necessitating Dylan's personal intervention.

But he was worried about Olivia.

Resting against his shoulder, Olivia smiled. "He's my brother and I lived with them for years before we met. You never worried then. It's fine; they're my family."

Mark, Cecilia, and Edwin all cherished Olivia.

And Laura was also very kind to her.

Laura had already knitted several pink, adorable sweater sets for the baby, complete with tiny socks and mittens.

Most of the baby's stuff had been purchased by Laura and Olivia together.

Dylan felt somewhat reassured by Olivia's words.

Still, the thought of leaving her was tough. The day before his departure, he went to the market, bought ingredients, and prepared many of her favorite dishes. He packed them and stored them in the Evans' freezer, ensuring Olivia could enjoy them whenever she wished.

Olivia murmured with a hint of complaint, "You're only going for a week. Others might laugh."

“Why would anyone laugh when I'm simply loving my wife? They'll be envious instead."

It was the weekend.

After a nap, Edwin came downstairs in his lounge wear. Overhearing their conversation, he leaned against the wall and said lazily, “Dude, don't set the bar too high. If you do, Laura will start comparing you to me again. She'll complain that I don't care as much as you do and that my cooking is nowhere near as good."

Edwin stressed each word, a hint of jealousy in his tone.

Dylan looked down to hide his smile.

It had been a long time, but Edwin was the only one who still dwelt on that.

Edwin's jealousy was a good sign, though; it meant he truly cared for Laura.

Dylan had organized everything for Olivia, including packing eight pairs of her panties so she wouldn't need to wash any. He'd take care of the laundry upon his return.

Olivia, repulsed, said, “They'll stink by the time you get back."

She teased him for being meticulous.

As Dylan lifted his suitcase, he hesitated and set it down again.
