They were in her private room.

He sat on the edge of the bed, his legs spread wide.

His long legs made it easy for Olivia to sit between them.

After sharing a long kiss, he let her lie back on the bed. Listening to the baby's movements, he commented, "She's growing big, moving like a grapefruit inside. When I return, she will be even stronger. Doesn't seem much like a little girl."

Olivia didn't want Dylan to go either.

She caressed his sharply defined face. He had lost considerable weight recently due to the stress from work.

She whispered softly, "Just earn enough to get by. Don't overdo it."

Dylan's heart softened. "Okay. Next year will be better. I'll move all my foreign business back, so no more flying around. Then I can focus on you and the baby."

She pressed her palm against his, watching him in silence for a moment.

Edwin's lazy voice drifted in from the doorway. “Are you guys finished? You've been married so long, yet you're still so mushy. If you don't leave now, you'll miss your flight."

Olivia blushed.

She stood quickly, but Dylan held her back. "You should rest. Don't go downstairs."

Still, Olivia wanted to tag along.

Edwin smiled. “Don't worry. I'll take Dylan to the airport and pick him up in a week."

He teased Olivia. "Look at you."

She couldn't resist embracing Dylan once more. She didn't know why, but she felt compelled to hold him.

"I'll be back soon," Dylan assured her in a raspy voice, kissing her forehead.

With his suitcase in hand, Dylan headed downstairs.

For a long time after, Olivia would regret not being stubborn that day, not stopping Dylan from going. She even wished she had gone downstairs to see him off.

She vividly remembered the weather being pleasant that day. After driving Dylan to the airport, Edwin returned with a smoothie Dylan had bought for her, knowing she had recently developed a taste for ate.

After that, Olivia never touched a smoothie again.

It only reminded her of Dylan and filled her with regret.

Six days later, evening approached.

The light faded in the villa, and distant crows cawed.
