Chapter: 4549
As soon as he parked the car, Sharon opened the car door and asked in a hushed tone, “Where have you been? Don't you realize the significance of this billion-dollar project? It took us over six months to finalize the agreement with Mr. Douglas."

However, Raphael merely glanced at her with indifference.

Stepping out of the car, he proceeded toward the hall while Sharon continued to chatter. Eventually, Raphael couldn't tolerate it any longer and said coldly, “Enough. Never forget your place!"

Sharon was stunned by his remark.

After a moment, she muttered, "But we're engaged, Raphael."

"Well, at least we're not married," Raphael retorted.

Sharon argued, "You promised to marry me, didn't you?"

In a sarcastic tone, Raphael replied, "If you're that impatient, maybe you should ask my mother to marry you. After all, she's the one who made such promises to you."

The employees overheard their conversation but pretended to be engrossed in their own tasks.

However, Sharon knew that these people would make fun of her in secret.

Feeling deeply embarrassed, she lowered her voice and murmured, “Do you have to humiliate me like this, Raphael?"

As they stepped into the elevator, they were alone.

Raphael said casually, "It's just us now. Let's be honest, Sharon! While I may not want to marry you and continue ignoring you, are you really committed to this relationship like you claimed? Last month, you spent three million dollars on a fitness coach. This month, you're infatuated with a male model, and you even bought him a fancy sports car!"

Hearing what he said, Sharon was stunned.

She hadn't expected Raphael to be monitoring her, which left her feeling embarrassed. What's more, Raphael appeared unconcerned when he brought up these issues.

He seemed to have no feelings for her whatsoever, which was probably why he didn't even care who she was with.

Unable to restrain herself, Sharon cursed, "You bastard, Raphael!"

In a detached tone, Raphael retorted, “I'm the bastard? But aren't you the one enjoying yourself with those men? My dear fiancee."

His voice dripped with sarcasm.

Just as Sharon was about to erupt, the elevator reached the top floor.

Leonel stood outside, regarding them with a knowing smile.

“Ah, there you are, Mr. Jones. Finally remembering you have a company to run, huh?"

The duo felt rather embarrassed upon hearing his remark.

On the contrary, Leonel chuckled even more gleefully. "Don't tell me you're running late because of a female companion. If that's the case, Miss Yeats here will definitely be furious with you."
